Alana Daly O'Brien is the spring 2021 editor in chief of the Citrus College Clarion student-run newspaper and executive editor of its counterpart, Logos Magazine. She has worked in student media for over two years while pursuing journalism and communications degrees at Citrus College. Daly O'Brien enjoys reading, gardening and traveling with her husband in her free time between school and working as a freelance copy editor.

Superintendent/President finalists discuss leadership and equity

The three finalists in the running to be the next superintendent/president introduced themselves to the public and answered questions in a May 25 forum over Zoom. Citrus College announces new Vice President of Academic Affairs

After months of searching, the Citrus College Board of Trustees approved the hiring of a new vice president of academic affairs on Nov. 17. Dr. Joumana McGowan will take over the position on Dec. 7 following Dr. Arvid Spor’s retirement. Measure Y surpasses 55% majority

Preliminary vote tallies show that Bond Measure Y is surpassing the 55% majority needed to pass as a result of the vote in the Nov. 3 general election. Laura Bollinger leads the race for the Area 2 Board of Trustees seat in the Nov. 3 election. The Area 2 seat represents Claremont and parts of Pomona and La Verne. The three candidates running for the position are Bollinger, Eric Kaljumagi and Joseph Salas, all from Claremont. The L.A. County Registrar’s Office declared Mary Ann Lutz winner of the election for the position of Area 5 Trustee for the Citrus College Board of Trustees. Two COVID-19 Cases Confirmed within 10 Days on Campus

In an email sent to all staff this afternoon, Director of Human Resources Robert Sammis confirmed another positive COVID-19 case in “at least one employee” on campus. This marks the second positive case on campus within 10 days.
